Assessment
Students may choose to complete an optional essay on a theme related to your chaplaincy experience. This has the same title and requirements as the one provided for students seeking to evidence their suitability for our postgraduate programme.
Diversity
You will be studying alongside professional chaplains who by their nature tend to be welcoming and respectful of a range of opinions. There are however some distinctively Christian aspects of the programme that may not suit everyone:
- lectures will start and end with a short Christian prayer
- most students are Christian ministers, and therefore will naturally express themselves using Christian ministry however Chaplains from other faiths are welcome to attend. We usually start and finish each day with an act of worship, but we will direct you to your chosen place of worship.
Fees for Volunteer Chaplaincy
This academic year's fees for Volunteer Chaplaincy are:
- Chaplains: £330
Places will be offered first come, first served, on receipt of payment by invoice. All prices are inclusive of teaching, accommodation and catering.
