Reading a story at a baby’s funeral

Baby funerals are always difficult. In the service, I read the baby their last bedtime story from the actual story book. It’s a very natural thing to read a baby a bedtime story and a number of parents have thanked me for doing something they could not do themselves.

I like to use ‘On the night you were born’ by Nancy Tillman.
